All the Comforts of Home

When was the last time you heard that phrase? It conjures up images of hotel ads from the 1960s. Back when those comforts included snazzy new appliances, Hi-Fi stereos, and yes, COLOR TV!  It’s a blast from the past. However, when was the last time you thought about all of the comforts of your home?

Last weekend, my wife and I jumped at the chance to visit beautiful Petoskey, Michigan for some leaf peeping. However, as much as I had looked forward to the trip, I found I was missing my comforts almost immediately.

We stayed in a nice large room that was more studio than hotel room. My wife and I usually stay in condos when we travel. We like to have all of those comforts of home, if possible. While the room was nice enough, I found myself pining for my beat-up recliner, as we watched the Lions actually win a game.  

I was wondering why all the comforts of home hit my brain this morning. I think it’s partly because this country is living in a comfort bubble that may soon pop. On November 3rd, America will change forever.

America is about to get physically tossed out of her comfort zone, and it’s not gonna be pretty. I started to think about how future generations will view this period in history. Will this be the end of America, or will it lead to the rebirth of the greatest country on earth? America 2.0, as it were. Time will tell.

It’s our job to inform our fellow Americans, and yes, shake them out of their comfort zone.  Only for a little while, then we can hopefully get back to our normal lives.

Every great civilization goes through a shake-up like we’re experiencing now. America will either come out of this stronger, or we’ll get tossed into the great dustbin of history’s failed experiments. It’s all up to us! Then, maybe we can all sit back in our recliners, put our feet up, and watch the Lions win another one!  It’s 2020, after all!

The Coup (Part II)

I recently watched a video from a guy named Michael Sico on Facebook. While his supposition may not be entirely correct, he may have uncovered what the Democrats are up to with Universal Mail-in Ballots. According to the 20th Amendment to the Constitution, if a winner is not declared by noon, January 20th, 2021, the Terms of Office for both the President and Vice-President end. Period.

Who would become Interim President until the results are sorted out (if ever)? A case will be made for the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi. This result will create even further chaos, which I’m sure is the point. The case would immediately go to the Supreme Court, thereby sending this Nation into even further madness. The Democrats have found a loophole in the Constitution, and they are attempting to exploit it with yet another coup.  

This COULD happen, and probably WILL unless the GOP can find a way to stop it. It’s not merely a case of getting out the vote. This is a case of the voting process being twisted and corrupted by the Democrats. What they couldn’t do with Stormy Daniels, Russian Collusion, Ukrainian Impeachment, and the Coronavirus, they will accomplish by muddying the voting results so badly, Trump will have no choice but to step down on January 20, 2021.  

Why do you think the Left keeps saying, “What if Trump refuses to leave office?”  It’s because they are setting a trap. This is horrifying! If we don’t find a way to stop this, the transformation of this country into something we no longer recognize will be complete. They will have managed to use a document, which they despise, against us. Fellow Americans who love, protect, and defend the Constitution.

I know this all sounds like some wacky conspiracy theory but think about it. What other explanation could there be for the pushing of millions of mail-in ballots? You can wait in line safely at Kroger, with a mask and social distancing, but standing in line to vote is just WAAAAY too dangerous?! Give me a break. 

Even if every one of those mail-in ballots is legitimate, which is quite a stretch, the whole objective of this devious exercise is to keep counting ballots until January 20th, and beyond. The Left’s problem of Orange Man Bad would be solved by the Section I of the 20th Amendment. Then they can just sit back with plausible deniability, as Nancy Pelosi is sworn in as President.  

Most of the time, I can see a way around their schemes, with massive amounts of help from Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh. However, this time, I can’t see a way out of the trap they have set. They win. Please, tell me I’m wrong!   

What I DO know is that the GOP Legal Eagles better start filling some motions to address this issue, BEFORE it happens! After November 3rd, it will be too late! For Trump, and the rest of the country.  

Even though I believe in God, and I attend church most Sundays, I’ll admit that I don’t pray as often as I should. That said, I beg you to put this item near the top of your prayer list. The way I see it, only God can deliver us from this catastrophe. The combined power of prayer DOES work miracles, and God knows we could use one right now.  God, please bless and heal our Nation. Amen!
